Bobbi and Laura

March 14, 2007

A friend asked about foundations. These 2 are, by far, the best 2 foundations in the market.

1. Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
Ok, it isn’t really a foundation, but it’s almost one. Firstly, the results are fantastically natural and even. I’ve used this for special occasions, and always get compliments. This doesn’t make me break-out, it’s got moisturizing properties to it, it lasts all day (even in the humid weather of Singapore) and it’s got an SPF15 in it. Coverage wise, I would say that it’s light to medium coverage. You will still have to use a concealer (I love YSL Touche Eclat and Dior Skinflash).

2. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation
This is for everyday people who want their Hermes version of foundations. It is rich and luminous that offers full coverage. Also, it’s oil-free, fragrance-free and long wearing. It helps to cover up those annoying pigmentation/acne scars/ rosacea. It also hydrates and protects, while removing those horrible find lines and imperfections as it’s light reflecting. Though pricey, it lasts forever. S$90 at True Colours (Takashimaya)
